i've fallen in love with borges, as many have told me i would. the garden of forking paths is beyond the power of superlatives to describe.

ceil and i went to see monster. i'm not sure that's a film i could intelligently discuss. it was excellent, though. a small rant on revenge fantasies and some musings on why more women don't kill their attackers wants to be here, but again, i'm not sure it's something i can articulate well. she liked wolves, though. that has to mean something.

i made her one of the "fight fatphobia" buttons i'm making for virgomochabeing, so she gave me $1.23. progressions of numbers are wonderful. also, the number twenty three is amazing, especially when selected randomly. i am a happy nerd.

tomorrow/today is the boy's birthday! (the seventh. not the sixth, even though the number six is far superior to the number seven.) happy birthday, finn! go sing happy birthday to camarguais.

sometimes, my life is more beautiful than i ever could have asked it to be.



this is what i did today. i walked a labyrinth. it was a labyrinth that looked like this, in fact, although it was smaller. liz and her family took me to a wonderful church filled with neat old nuns. the church was decorated for mardi gras, with glitter and beads. i cannot talk about that place without sounding trite, but believe me, it made the world seem better than it had been before i went. i love old women so very much. i'd like to be a nun one day, although i probably never will. we went and ate good pancakes and other things after that, and then went to target, where my belief in the saving power of worldly goods was reaffirmed, as if i'd ever really doubted it.

i'm consistently awed by just how amazing my friends are.
