last night i went out with amie and a late lindsay and lots of amie's boy friends. i drank lots of cider and said lots of things out loud.
(dear amie,
you're so cute.
you're the femmest
femmebot to ever femme,
so you're clearly queer.
stop kidding yourself,
and do me. thanks!
ever yours,
jack)
one of them was an ex-wholefoodie, and one of the boys central to the whole foods/south street workers' union. i adored talking to him. he made things i'd only heard whispered more concrete. he gave me a bit of direction in case i wanted to get more involved in things in a right now sense, and i do. i love spending time at youth build, but at the moment, besides helping kids with small grammar and computer things, and teaching a bunch of future teachers about what good education and life outside of schools should look like, i'm only watching, not really helping. so, today, i found a graffiti alley i never would have known was there. it is between fifth and sixth and south and bainbridge. i know more about public art ethics than i did, some of which i'd inferred, some of which i hadn't, so if i do start doing things, i won't be offending anyone i'd rather impress. and i signed up to staff at the wooden shoe, which should mean learning new things, meeting new people, and finding out more about what needs to be done in this city. i am a good victorian, doing the work that lies nearest me.
