goodness, but things have been wonderful. yesterday megan and i went for a long treasure searching walk before her massage with lindsay. we found the best block in philadelphia, with two doors to each house and stairs and good door-knockers and everything we could want. we'll buy houses and build houses and sell houses until we can have one of these, please. i'm not sure if it is still center city on the edge of south philly there, or if it became center city on the edge of west philly on the edge of south philly. but it was perfect. there was a children's bookstore on the corner with signs about banned books week and kittens proclaiming that reading is a right. but i love my neighborhood right now, too. i feel that i'm more a part of this neighborhood than i've been in any other before, even if i never get my mail. at first i felt safer in the downtownish sides of blocks than on the ghettoish sides, but no one says hello to anyone on those other streets. now i know the old men on the corner and i'm not such a different thing. they ask me about school and where megan is and how she is doing when i pass. i've actually never lived in a neighborhood where people talked to each other. america is strange. last night may have been the start of a collaboration on a webcomic between myself and bill, my fag roommate on whom i have a crush and who owns more comic books than you (yes, even you) and who is very good at drawing things. fear us. this morning was waking up and taking showers and getting dressed and then having a lot of sex and then having breakfast. i walked to wholefoods before megan left for work to buy lunch and yoghurt and talk to friends and keep them from work for a minute or two. [livejournal.com profile] marnanel came over for lunch and linux. we talked about schools and class and egyptian and welsh number systems and zir daughter, who is neat and smart and just discovered the important relationship between pi and pie. i don't have ubuntu on my computer yet, although we aren't entirely sure why that is, but i'm sure i will sometime soon. now i think i should not do my homework and go be outside, because it is a perfect almostfall day and i am a pirate. tonight i'll take an exam and then i'll be going to sisters with lots of friends, where i will get quite smashed and make smoochyfaces at cute lesbians. onward!
