jacktellsliesi know two very brave kittens who will soon be two socially responsible kittens. you should wish them luck and light candles for them.
i work very hard, but deserve nothing that i own. i have so many nice things. for instance, i have a bed now, and a wardrobe. the bed is made of iron and spirals and is the first real bed i have ever owned. i will be hanging a picture of a lamppost in the woods in the back of the wardrobe until it comes to its senses and lets me through. megan and i replaced its handles with little checkerboard ones to encourage the mirror, which makes up one of its doors, to open up as well. our room is becoming even more antique than i'd hoped, with stuffed crows and absinthe and globes and postcards from paris. as always, however, i'd like to have more hat boxes.
i received an amazingly nice letter from a professor asking me, among others, to take my religion and sexuality class again in the fall as an undergraduate teaching assistant. it would count as an independent study for religion, i'd only have to be available during class time, and i would be allowed to do a research assignment or other project on sex and religion. i really should give up gender and history to do this, shouldn't i?

oh, one should definitely give up gender. or at least leave it standing, confused, in the dust a few stops back.
