poof. you're a pizza.

wow! that was the best x-men and pineapple pizza and sex dayTM ever!

(we watched x-men one and two, the old cartoon, and x-men: evolutions. rogue is so cool, and i'm consistently in love with the relationship between wolverine and the teenaged girl. "bub" is clearly the best word ever, and the ever-present dark phoenix threat is awesome. also, i like that chronology apparently means nothing to anyone. we did the word seek and coloured wonder woman, the flash, and martian manhunter in her JLA activity book. she gets suicide humour, and fake crying, and has considered opening her cafe (she wants to open a cafe) in pittsburgh (she was born in pittsburgh) so as to create a worthwhile lesbian scene there. we listened to the alternative music i haven't heard in years, and we danced a lot. oh my goodness. i was not expecting this at all. meep. there is so much like all over her face.)

that sounds like so much fun! unexpected things are so cool :)

[identity profile] earlofgrey.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
it was really, really lovely.

Obviously the old x-men cartoon is one of the greatest things ever. If you ever want to gush about Rogue, I'm your girl. We could form another academy one day.

it was so unbelievably good. i still haven't actually read any x-men comics, though. that was meant to be part of x-men day, but we just never got there. i'm such a failure.

It's a lot to deal with in one day. I started with the Essential X-Men, which I found to be both a delight and sometimes frustrating. When you return to Pittsburgh, you can get them from Carnegie Wonderland.

i wonder if it would be possible to get ultimate blah blah through inter-library loan...

X-Men Evolution Rogue is better.

i'm such a freakbaby! not because i am forever denied physical contact, but because i wear lots of dark makeup! cry cry!

Can you please clarify "there is so much like all over her face"

Is that crazy cool kid speak for liking her?

[identity profile] earlofgrey.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
exactly!

[identity profile] zombling.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
i think wolverine is the best... i'm glad you are having such an excellent life/time as of late... you deserve it. i like seeing/hearinf/reading you happy.

it is for the best that you trade marked 'x-men and pineapple pizza and sex day'... now that you've said it it will start a wave of parties.

i &hearts short canadians. i like tall canadians, too. but canadians who are filled with adamantium, obviously, win.

i do expect royalties.

This quote from The Well of Loneliness by Radclyffe Hall made me think of you:

"St. Joseph looked very respectable and kind, like the fishmonger in Great Malvern."

If you haven't read it, you must. It's a bit contrived at times, but immensely beautiful otherwise.

*smiles* thank you. i read most of that novel the last night i spent in dublin, awake, refusing to give up my last moments in a place that made sense, watching crazy late night british tv and being terrified that i'd fall asleep without meaning to and miss my early flight. i didn't have quite enough time, and it was a library book, so i've still not finished it. but i do love that novel.

What a lovely story! I long very much to see Ireland.

You must read it again sometime! And don't be surprised if I call you St. Joseph. ♥

yes, i must. and i cannot say i'd mind. *kisses cheek*
