i forget who you are, sometimes. part of me always thinks you are the people i stole or who stole me from open diary, or the people i found early on; that you are all crushablepink, and randiriel, and wireworkelf, and poetic_frog. you aren't, though. and i'm cryptic, sometimes because i worry i'm just going to say the same thing over and over for a while, so i might as well maintain an air of mystery somehow, or because, between reading just enough victorian poetry and still believing just enough in the fae etiquette, i feel that it is crass to say what one actually means, or just because i prefer myth and metaphor and lies to most anything else. so sometimes i forget that you don't know what i mean, that there are big parts of the story that you've never heard or just lost. i understand that what is to follow is terribly egotistical, however, that is the thing for which the wonderous platonic ideal of communication that is livejournal was created. so, realizing that i am a tricky masked thing, and that many of you have not known me for as long as i like to think, i thought i'd ask: are there bits of me you need to know more about in order for this all to make sense? keep in mind that i may not answer you, as openness and honesty really aren't my style, but i will try.

thing is, i like knowing what i know of you, and know you will tell me anything else i may need. i've spoken of you before to the gf, and she finds it strange that kid has an auntie penny that she's never met, but i tell her that you're just the fairy godparent, so it's okay.
