the first episode of the graham norton effect happened today, so we watched gayboy tv and ate british food and drank tea. i don't like clotted cream, but not for the reason that i thought i would not like it. (it wasn't even awful; it just wasn't good.) tea is wonderful though, as are poofs, and jam with scones.

I was not pleased with the clotted cream. ALso, my expectations of the gooey stuff were never very high to begin with because of the term "clotted".

Silly Brits.

But nonethelesss, ranch dressing was oddly a delicious approach when eating scones.

Silly Americans.

i hoped to like it, but alas, did not. i feel that the failing is mine, and not britain's. :P

(it is a quote from one of the new york episodes of v. graham norton in which he described the film king kong to an asian american man whose name was actually king kong. it played one of the times that i was in london.)

I remember it:) That Chinese man did not deserve to be on So Graham Norton. He was entirely too pleasant and amenable.

I think I am actually offended by the term "gayboy."

I think it's a little reductive, particularly the "boy" part.

I just feel it's especially "othering."

Oh I love Graham Norton. I am so happy they didn't water down the show TOO much for American TV!
