i woke up and there was a deer in my yard. this has happened once before, and again, it is highly improbable. but it is bealtaine, so of course there is a dear in my yard. i went back to sleep.

tie a red ribbon around my tail. drive me between two bonfires and singe off all my hair. take me to where you're going.

a year ago now i'd be coming back from ireland to wait for the baby. next week i go to pittsburgh with all of the things i like (except for my red chair. i weep for this.) instead of something small, enough to carry clothes for a few days and some books people want to borrow.

i ate good food today, and i read joseph campbell, and i wandered with stine and her friend, and i was hyper-aware of the moon the way i have been lately without really knowing why. i am tired, and i am sore, and i am happy. a good feast, all in all. a good day for things to shift.
