it was under english trees that i meditated on that lost labyrinth.
i've fallen in love with borges, as many have told me i would. the garden of forking paths is beyond the power of superlatives to describe.
ceil and i went to see monster. i'm not sure that's a film i could intelligently discuss. it was excellent, though. a small rant on revenge fantasies and some musings on why more women don't kill their attackers wants to be here, but again, i'm not sure it's something i can articulate well. she liked wolves, though. that has to mean something.
ceil is neat. she's going to get a livejournal now! welcome to livejournal, ceil.
i made her one of the "fight fatphobia" buttons i'm making for
virgomochabeing, so she gave me $1.23. progressions of numbers are wonderful. also, the number twenty three is amazing, especially when selected randomly. i am a happy nerd.
tomorrow/today is the boy's birthday! (the seventh. not the sixth, even though the number six is far superior to the number seven.) happy birthday, finn! go sing happy birthday to
camarguais.

YAY!
I feel like having a pin or a shirt or whatever is not enough. SO many things need to be done to make it okay for everyone....I'm at a loss for words.
I really wanted to se Monster (more or less because of Angie) but I honestly don't think I coudl ahndle it if I couldn't watch Texas Chainsaw...What are your recommendations?
Re: YAY!
it's on a completely different level from films like that. parts of it were very hard to watch. i had a hard time with her rape, especially as images of women who are tied up upset me a lot. her murders didn't get more violent, but they were presented as having less and less justification, which made it more upsetting. i definitely recommend the film, but scenes like her rape and a monologue on child abuse could definitely be triggering for some people. i hope you do get to see it.
