Casting the bones.
My dearest friends,
I normally believe it best only to mention matters of one's health when such anecdotes may prove both amusing and educational. Worse than breaking this habit is doing so so soon after admitting another injury. I apologize for my failure and for my frailty.
I've managed to injure my back again. I shan't impose upon you with unsightly details, but I fear that I shall be out of work for an indeterminate period of time. I'm currently convalescing with family, being fed slices of fruit, and practicing languidly draping myself across the furniture.
Fortunately, my newfound bath slaves have been not only obedient, but also interesting, attractive, generous, and unbelievably kind. So have my opiates.
