annie, the best person in the world, helped me move. both annie and kaitlin helped to carry my big red chair. for the record, people who carry my big red chair are hotter than usual for the next two weeks or so. use this to your benefit, ladies. once i was (mostly) moved in alex and meredith came over and then we went out for pineapple pizza and mountain dew and black and white pictures of people holding saws, and then to meredith's house where alex made me a box that was red on the inside and meredith showed me a magazine and a tin full of rubber balls. kaitlin and i walked home, and then annie and liz were there to take us to see the director's cut of donnie darko. we rode in the chairless back of the van, a thing which i enjoyed. we were worried, because we'd heard that killing moon would not be playing at the beginning, but we found that the song had only been moved to a scene which might actually have been better for it. also, explanatory text is a good idea, but computer code sometimes moves too quickly to be of any use to us. goodness, but what a good movie. ben was there, then. we went to eat things, and then we came to alder place, where i live, to watch fifties burlesque and listen to music and touch each other. yesterday was really, really nice.
sometimes i worry that i'll disappoint myself, that i'll fail to chase adventures. i'm terrified of realizing that it is time to die and looking back and thinking, oh, i didn't go see a meteor shower with my friends at three o'clock in the morning just because i had work early the next day. but really, i think i'm doing pretty well.
kaitlin has fantastic silverware.
it would seem that i live in an apartment. not a house or a flat, but a thing that is distinctly and completely an apartment. i disapprove. as i am a bit underground, i vote that it be renamed a burrow, or a hobbit hole, or something equally nice.
