today (yesterday. the sun decided to rise while i wrote this.) could have been awful, but i conveniently ran out of food. the resulting leaving the apartment and grocery shopping and climbing most of my hill with said groceries was remarkably helpful. having lovely friends was even moreso. among other things, we played miniature golf, which was much more fun than i expected it to be. liz likes to mock me for any and all unfortunate gothiness that insists on clinging to my person; simply to amuse her, god arranged for my receiving of a black golf ball and black golf club. after all of that people came to avalon to play games and talk.

although the idea of meeting new people (really new, in the sense that they are not being introduced to me by people i already know.) is not one i relish (regrettably, i am not good at new people. they cause me to lose the ability to speak until they stop being new people.) i feel that it is something that i need to do. promiscuity really must be facilitated.
